Rules

LSFF 2026 films must abide by the festival rules:

There is no maximum number of submissions per submitter.

You must agree for your film to be screened online as well as at the live screening.

Maximum runtime for short films is 35 minutes.

All genres are welcomed.

All non-English films must be submitted with English subtitles embedded.

Selection Process

Our talented curational team watches and critiques your films. All films will be discussed and a final decision is made before the notification date.

We will consider every film received and feedback will be given upon request to the filmmakers for films that were not selected to be screened.

If your film is selected you will be notified via the ‘Film Freeway’ website.

Screening Deliverables

You must do the following:

Supply the festival with a DCP/ MOV/ MP4 of your film via WeTransfer/ Google Drive/ Dropbox

You must also allow your film to be downloaded via Film Freeway or Vimeo when your film is selected.
